- Monitoring of belt movement, i.e. tracking, slippage and tension, and
- Monitoring of belt health, i.e. injuries, corrosion, splice failure and slitting.
The monitoring method to be used is depending on what is to be detected.
So far there is no completely convincing method on the market; they all have cons and pros.
Required is an automatic, wear- and maintenance-free system.
